Copy the full path of a file or folder to the clipboard in Vista

When you’re deep in the file system and want to copy the full path of a file or folder to the clipboard so you can paste it, here’s how:

  1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the file or folder in question.
  2. Hold down the Shift key.
  3. Right click the file or folder.
  4. From the enhanced context menu, select Copy as Path.

The Shift + Right Click combination adds other options to the context menu, as well.
